First time I used it, I was amazed by this drive. I was upgrading my Hard drive to an internal SSD and the computer felt so much faster and responsive, my laptop startup times decreased from almost 2 min to less then 30 seconds. However, after only 1 month, it become too slow and I had less then 50 hours of use, low writing data and less then 300gb of used storage (out of 500gb). I ended up erasing the disk and install windows 10 again and do the garbage collection thing. Yet, it is still too slow. It got so slow that the startup times are now close to 5 min, has a very high latency and is constantly at 100% disk usage.
I am now going back and reinstall the old HD drive. A 2015 HD drive with very high use is faster and more responsive than a much newer SSD internal drive with only 1 month of use. This is a joke.
The reality is that the BX500 is an internal drive and is not made to be one..so it does not know how to manage is own disk and ends up getting slow, very soon.
Crucial really did a mistake on this drive and I lost all my confidence in Crucial.
